Wurstbande
Murals are one my favorite forms of art in public. I just love it when artists turn buildings into giant canvases. Not only do these artworks stand out by their size, they also change the city landscape into something creative that is much more than just concrete, steal and glass.
As part of Converse‘ SNEAKER CLASH series of artistic installations in 16 cities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa the three Berlin-based street artists and illustrators Wurstbande, Gogoplata and Rylsee will create the CLASHWALL here in Berlin. The CLASHWALL is a big mural covering the entire front of a house on Torstraße in Mitte with drawings that have been especially created based on the suggestions and sketches of street art and sneaker fans. The Artists
Here are the three amazing Berlin-based street artists and illustrators that will create the wall together at Torstr. 86 and turn hundreds of submitted ideas into sketches: Wurstbande, Gogoplata and Rylsee.
Gogoplata has a special place in our heart because he turned out to be the one creating the illustration of my own idea of “Team Monkey & Giraffe” which you can see below.
Rylsee‘s specialty are fonts and typography and shapes that are made of fonts.

The Call for Ideas
If you want to become part of the wall and have your idea transformed into a sketch by one of the three artists all you have to do is submit your idea in written form or as a sketch by posting it on your twitter account with the hashtags #clashwall #berlin or post it onto the wall of the CLASHWALL Facebook event where you can read more about the guidelines. As a reward for your participation you will get your illustration through Twitter or Facebook as well as 2 tickets for the big interactive street art event on March 29 here in Berlin where the artists will bring the best illustrations onto the wall (limited availability).
The Interactive Street Art Event
On March 29, 2014 from 12-18h the CLASH WALL will be created by the three artists on a building at Torstr. 86 in Berlin Mitte and you can be part of the event if you submit your idea. There is going to be drinks and BBQ and live music by Daedelus and KRTS. If the illustration based on your idea is amongst the lucky ones who will get onto the wall you will also win a pair of Converse sneakers. Good luck!
