On Tour with the Priceless Berlin Bus

We know them all, those numerous tourist buses, that drive from Unter den Linden through Berlin’s most important attractions, all the way to the shopping street Kurfürstendamm, where most of the tours end. They are very practical, especially when one wants to enjoy Berlin’s most important sights all at once. The Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Victory Column, the Bellevue Palace, the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church are only some of the sights you should definitely see while visiting Berlin.

Since last week and until October 11th there is a new bus under way driving along the aforementioned route and beyond, but all in black it seems rather mysterious. It is the Priceless® Berlin Bus by Mastercard which goes on tour four times a day between 12 and 18h. What is special about this bus is that the tour does not only include a part of the popular route full of Berlin highlights, but also explores some quite hidden neighborhoods that only a Berlin insider would know. On this tour, therefore, one can have the deluxe version of Berlin: the well-known sights of the city in combination with the unknown parts, that actually constitute the real Berlin magic.

The tour starts at Torstraße 95 in Mitte at the Mastercard Priceless Berlin Pop-up Store, where, first of all, there is a small Virtual Reality Tour of the city with the new VR glasses as well as some 360° videos and pictures. Then, one can design their own Berlin tote bag and have it printed, before the bus tour starts.

First, the tour goes through the modern Berlin-Mitte, which is full of hip cafes and fashion stores, and past the really interesting Haus Schwarzenberg, that still maintains the old charm of Berlin; it, also, includes the Chameleon Varieté Theatre, the Hackeschen Höfe, the Museum Island, Unter den Linden, the Brandenburg Gate, the new government quarter, the Berlin Victory Column, the House of World Cultures as well as the City West.

During the tour there are a lot of stops where the passengers can get off and explore the area. A map marks a few notable spots in the area that you can visit at every stop of the tour. Furthermore, Mastercard® cardholders will be able to enjoy special offers and surprises by some of the Priceless Berlin partners along the way. Once disembarked, the passengers can also continue the ride with the next bus. For those who are in a hurry, they can get on one of the red Top Tour busses with a one-way ticket that follows a similar route.

From the City West the tour goes on through unknown areas of Schöneberg and Kreuzberg including one of the newest and most interesting urban parks in Berlin, the Gleisdreieck Park, as well as the beloved Bergmannkiez. During the tour a guide will narrate exciting stories about Berlin and its numerous corners, which will perfectly accompany the passengers’ visual experience.

If you are now curious to explore Berlin by bus you can find out more about the Priceless Berlin tour here. Enjoy the ride!
