After we’ve already introduced you to our favorite breakfast places in Neukölln, Friedrichshain, Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg we’re now continuing our district series with the most popular district of Berlin: Kreuzberg. Of course an area so diverse also has a breakfast offering that comes in all its variations from trendy to traditional. There’s something for everyone!
Ora
Ora is certainly a favorite in Kreuzberg, not just for us, but for everyone who enjoys a picturesque ambience. The cafe is located inside an old pharmacy and they kept the entire old interior creating a very unique nostalgic charm. Their breakfast menu is pretty much based on their house specialty, the sourdough bread. We recommend the one with mangold and cottage cheese with a poached egg on top.
Ora, Oranienplatz 14, 10999 Berlin-Kreuzberg
Open daily 09:00-01:00

Le Bon
Le Bon at Gräfekiez on Schönleinstraße corner of Boppstraße is an option for the more demanding palate. On their menu you will find all the trendy goodies such as shakshuka, eggs benedict, and porridge with nuts and fruits. We liked the variety on the menu and the relaxed atmosphere of the place.

The Visit
Hidden in the backyard at Adalbertstraße close to the intersection with Oranienstraße you will find a fairly new coffee shop called The Visit. It’s a hipsters dream come true with minimal white interior and third wave coffee. For breakfast they usually offer two easy-going and fair priced options: Pancakes with bananas and avocado toast. What more do you need?
The Visit, Adalbertstraße 9, 10999 Berlin-Kreuzberg
Open: Mon – Fri 09:00-19:00, Sat – Sun 10:00-19:00, Tel: 0171 3449377

3 Schwestern
If you love international variety you are gonna find a lot of options at the 3 Schwestern restaurant and beer garden at Kunstquartier Bethanien. It’s a lovely summer location and a really laid-back atmosphere. No fuzz here. Choose between French, Italian, Bavarian, Austrian, Mexican and English breakfast (and a few more).

Ankerklause
The Ankerklause could be called on old classic in Kreuzberg. Located at the Kottbusser Damm bridge by the Landwehr canal it comes with view over the canal and some nautical ambience. It’s a pretty down-to-earth no-fuzz kind of place with really solid breakfast options like a platter with cheeses, salami and hams with bread.
Ankerklause, Kottbusser Damm 104, 10967 Berlin-Kreuzberg
Open: Mon 16:00- 03:00, Tue – Sun 10:00- 03:00, Tel:030 6935649

Parker Bowles
While it’s a slightly fancy kind of restaurant in the evenings Parker Bowles is a pretty relaxed option for breakfast and lunch. The place is located at the iconic Aufbauhaus at Moritzplatz and offers some cool views over to the Prinzessinnengärten. Their breakfast options include some easy egg dishes, sandwiches and also pancakes.
