Less than a month is left to what might be one of the most exciting weekends for Berlin. I know the stakes are high in this competition, but that’s no joke – there’s the highly anticipated Bread & Butter by Zalando (B&&B) – a fashion/music/food extravaganza happening Friday 1st through Sunday 3rd of September in the Arena Berlin, and if you care at all for any component of the aforementioned trifecta, you better save the date. Why? We have all the highlights and some tickets for you to win listed for you.
UPDATE: M.I.A. (Friday) and FKA Twigs (Saturday) were announced as headliners.
The B&&B is an event that truly combines a lot of things we love about Berlin – it’s created by passion driven people and explores what’s hot in three areas we’re always on the lookout for: fashion, music, and food. It’s a chance for the locals to peek behind the curtain of high profile industries and a possibility for international guests to experience just how fun and creative can Berlin be.
It’s the second Berlin edition of this event after some transition period, so we know a little more about what can we expect, but there’s definitely still many surprises in store. The program of this year’s three day festival consists of talks, prominent fashion shows, concerts by M.I.A., FKA Twigs (presented by Mercedes-Benz), Yung Hurn, Bilderbuch and more, DJ performances, parties, and even training sessions. If that wasn’t cool enough, there’s great food available all day long! Check out the detailed schedule here and secure yourself tickets for the three-day-event here.
The undeniable highlight is the presence of the fashion industry’s favorite rebel, Dame Vivienne Westwood. Not only you’ll have a chance to check out a stunning exhibition featuring pieces from her archive collections, but she’s also going to give a talk with the very stimulating subject ”Get a life”. .
Another centerpiece of this year’s fair will definitely be the Hugo by Hugo Boss show, featuring projects inspired by the art of David Lynch. The eclectic looks, combining elements from Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks, or Wild at Heart all present a both wonderful and strange way to express yourself.
But the thing that really makes this event into an immersive festival for the diverse Berlin crowd is how it’s not only about fashion – B&&B makes a statement by inviting some really bold speakers just like the founder of Gurls Talk, Adwoa Aboah, who is going to host a panel at the event that will address issues like ”anything from relationships to periods and sex to mental health.”
We hope to have awoken your interest – if so we have 5×2 Three-Day-Tickets for this year’s edition of the Bread&Butter to give away to you. To win you simply have to give a “Like” to this post and leave a comment below until August 27, 2017 (please use a valid eMail in the form). Good luck!
