Now that the cold and dark evenings make the concept of a Wegbier by the canal a rather unpopular idea, bars with their cozy and inviting interiors are a tempting alternative. In this post, we’ve collected some of our favorite spots in Kreuzkölln. They’re all more or less within a walking distance from each other, so don’t get discouraged if one of them is too full and simply enjoy your stroll through one of Berlin’s most famous nightlife areas!
Dschungel
We’re starting this virtual tour at Dschungel, located a 5-minute walk from Hermannplatz. The peculiar interior bears a slight resemblance to the Jungle Room at Elvis Presley’s home in Memphis, although there’s no waterfall on the wall. The booze is certainly flowing, though!

Geist im Glas
Just 3 minutes away from Dschungel you’ll find Geist im Glas – a welcoming bar that specializes in infusing spirits with fruits, herbs, nuts and spices to create unique flavors for their long drinks and cocktails. They also have some delicious brunch options that you can enjoy on the weekends.

Zum böhmischen Dorf
After only a 4-minute stroll you can arrive at our next destination: the homey Zum böhmischen Dorf! This spacious bar has plenty of tables to accommodate you and your friends, and they’re also hosting all kinds of events, including a series of English-speaking speed dating!

Roter Rabe
Time to get some more fresh air! Take a hopefully picturesque 10-minute walk along the Kanal and cross the Kottbusser Brücke to find yourself at the cozy yet chic corner bar Roter Rabe (“Red Raven”), our next stop. Enjoy their signature cocktails and friendly atmosphere!

Fahimi
After another brief 4-minute walk you’ll see the legendary Kottbuser Tor, a party hub that’s infamous yet intoxicating. Here, you can visit Fahimi bar, an elegant spot overlooking Kotti that lets you marvel at it from above while enjoying exquisite drinks.
