Die Events der Woche

Endlich ist mal dieses Drama mit dem ganzen Regen hier vorbei und wir können endlich mal ein bisschen Sonne und warme Temperaturen genießen diese Woche. Also mal direkt die kurzen Hosen und Röcke wieder ausgepackt und raus an die frische Luft. Monday, July 23

Starting today Network Awesome is looking for bands, musicians, artists, designers, filmmakers, and interesting people of all sorts to be part of two video productions that will be filmed until the end of the week. One is a Portland-based tv show called The Experimental 1/2 Hour and the other is The Network Awesome Show – a casual short-run TV show by Network Awesome. If you are interested in being part of this write to info@networkawesome.com. The filming will take place at the N.K. at Elsenstr. 52 in Neukölln.

Tuesday, July 24

The Mobile Kino is screening the 1970’s Woodstock documentary at the Hasenheide Park starting at 20:30h. For exact location inside the park stay tuned to their fb event.

Wednesday, July 25

New dance party and bar night AA at August II bar with excentric line-up of DJs including Hllywd, Jackee Word, Angel Clouthier and more. Starts at 21h at Auguststr. 2.

Thursday, July 26

Berlin-based shoe label Atheist prides itself with making the softest most comfortable unisex shoe that comes in a variety of colors and goes up until size 49 (wow, who wears a 49?!). They are opening their pop-up store at Reuterstr. 62 that is open for three days until Saturday. On Thursday and Saturday night there will be some comedy perforamences. Store is open Thu & Fri 14-22h and Sat 12-late.

The design school AMD is launching this year’s issue of their 6th semester magazine project Werk VI at Feed Soundspace, Hobrechtstr. 65 starting at 18h. See the flyer below for r.s.v.p. details.

Sampson’s Cherry O Kie with Mille live and Berhain’s Tamasuma and Prosumer as guest hosts of the Karaoke night. Doors open at 20h. Südblock, Admiralstr. 1-2.

Comme Ci, Comme Ca are hosting a new party at Chalet, twice a month, starts at 21h, Am Schlesischen Tor 3.

Friday, July 27

I haven’t played with hoops since I was a child, but I remember how much fun it was, even though I could never do more than one at a time. This weekend there is a whole festival happening dedicated to hoops, it’s titles Hoopurbia and it takes place this Friday to Sunday at The Wye, Skalitzerstr. 86 and at Arena, Eichenstr. 4. There is going to be workshops, film screenings, live acts and a dance party. Check out their website for details about the program.

The international street art exhibition De mi Barrio a tu Barrio curated by Jim Avignon and Holger Beier is opening along with a book release and live painting at Neurotitan Gallery at Rosenthaler Str. 39, starting at 19h. The exhibition runs until August 17th, 2012.

Brave Exhibitions party at Raum, Ziegrastr. 15 at 22h, with live music by Linea Aspera and Knothole and a performance by Megg Morales (Reckless Redemption).

Saturday, July 28

Dress Me Up before you Gogo Vintage and Designer Fleamarket at Agora, Mittelweg 50 in Neukölln, starts at 15h.

The CLUB presents V live, with DJ set by Kool Thing and the finissage of their current exhibition Der Kleine Prinz by Joseph Wolfgang Ohlert. Starts at 21h, Biebrichstr. 14.

Berlin Festival presents Club Berlin hosted by Artstars with Mary Ocher and Simonne Jones live, DJ sets by Scream Club, Sarah Adorable and Cindy Wunderbar at Flamingo, Kleine Präsidentenstr, starts at 22h.

Sunday, July 29

DJ and personality blogger Oh Sophia is starting her own private dinner series at Merkezi, Adalbertstr. 5/6 this Sunday at 19h. She’s preparing a 4-course-menu for 15 EUR, make your reservation by emailing to ohohohsophia@googlemail.com. There is always going to be a theme and this time it’s monochrome cooking (all food in one color).
