   Interesting article… but maybe a link could lead to an independent (Berlin) bookshop instead of amazon.. there are still bookshops to buy books as long as people don’t buy everything on Amazon… once there won’t be any shops anymore, it will be too late.. and in Germany the price for books is always the same

   Hey André, thanks for your feedback! You are absolutely right, even better – why not make it a separate article? I will look for the best independent bookshops in Berlin soon and put together a list.

   Peter Eichler owns his little shop for over ten years and opened it because he obviously loves books and also he wanted to keep active after he retired. Lovely man, nice individual shop which offers also lectures every now and then. Peter knows his books and will be helpful with finding what you’ve been looking for 🙂

   Great list.

   I am off to buy some books at a bookstore called St. George’s Book store (All English bookstore)

   It’s one of my favorite places to buy books in English and they have a wide collection. If they don’t have the book, they’ll order it for you.

   Glad to see Isherwood here. I think that the Berlin Noir Trilogy by Philip Kerr should also be part of this list.
