Die Musikindustrie war schon seit langem (und ist es wohl auch immer noch) ein Boys Club. Aber die Dinge scheinen sich endlich zu verbessern dank der Pionierarbeit von Leuten wie The Black Madonna, die sich besonders stark gegen die Probleme aussprechen, die Frauen betreffen, die versuchen Teil der Musikwelt zu werden. Wenn euch dieses Thema interessiert, solltet ihr euch die Salt + Sass Eventserie in Berlin zu Gemüte führen.
Während Berlin ja eher für die elektronische Musikszene bekannt ist, wird es doch viel zu oft übersehen, dass es hier auch eine lebendige Hip Hop Szene gibt zum Beispiel mit Kollektiven wie den Broke Boys, Blunt’n’Rosen, WEBOOGIE, Berries and mehr, die allesamt legendäre Partys schmeißen. Und wer hätte es gedacht, hier durchaus auch Frauen zum Zuge.

Really nice article, funny thing though the way they brand themselves (looks and attitude in front of the camera) could be more original and not recall the overrated Techno Underground, short of Berghainish raw attitude. but then it´s only my opinion

Funny thing though, the way you brand yourself (looks and attitude in writing) could be more original and not recall the overrated mainstream white male commenter. You know, the one that compulsory has to pass criticism on talented women’s looks. But then, it seems I’m not the only one with that opinion…

.. because criticizing what women performers wear is something that *only white males do*. Black people would never do such a thing. And you would certainly never find women engaging in such critical behaviour. It’s *such* a white male thing.
