Since the article is about alternative German learning and some meetups even have been mentioned here you should also mention https://www.meetup.com/LetsLearnGerman/
I am the Organiser of the group. It is the most active German practice group in Berlin and in Germany as a whole. It is free for everyone. No cost and no donation asked, just come by and have fun.
We meet 5 days a week which gives pretty much everyone the chance to join us at least once a week.
Our group is almost 2 years old and at good days we have more than 100 people attending. Like the last summers, we will most likely go out for a huge picnic again on weekends.
I liked the idea you have shared of learning German through Yoga. It is something innovative and sounds very relaxing option too. The picture you have shared here is also relevant to the content. Keep sharing such innovative posts to help German learners. Theater games sounds like yet another innovative idea one might consider.
I go to a place called Authentic Learning Berlin. The classes are small and the course includes workshops and activities (like the yoga you mention) to become more fluent. We decided to have a programming workshop, and we have made art and gone to interesting places in Berlin as part of our German course. My teacher is really nice and have noticed that the workshops really help with me speaking more freely and confidently. I’m very happy with the classes. http://www.authenticlearning.de
All good resources but I have to say it like it is: there is no alternative for a good old language school. At least for me… I mean yeah some of them are great ideas and should be supported. But not as primary learning resource, but as additional ways to improve the things one learns in school. Especially the languagegym looks pretty fun to me. And as it is only half an hour from the German language school in Berlin I attend at the moment, I might have a look 😉 Anyway thank you for this great post and have a nice day 🙂
