For iHeartBerlin, queer nightlife has always been a major part of the city experience. That’s why we are very excited about the upcoming group photography exhibition “DISCOnstruction”, featuring some of our favorite photographers that you may be familiar with from our exhibition “UNCENSORED BERLIN”.
As the Berlin club landscape faces multiple losses, most recently with the closing of Griessmuehle, people are reminded to appreciate their nightlife every chance they get. This appreciation can manifest itself beyond the club – there are some amazing artists who manage to capture the essence of the nightlife in photographs that let partygoers reminisce about their most treasured moments.
“DISCOnstruction” is a group photography exhibition featuring Victor Luque, Rafael Medina, and Spyros Rennt. The exhibition encompasses three fascinating ways of viewing and experiencing the queer nightlife.

”’DISCOnstruction’ depicts shamelessly and without purposely romanticizing intimate moments of highs and lows between strangers, friends, and lovers in a world where satisfaction and hopelessness are synonyms,” says Vassilia Kaga, curator of the exhibition.
We recommend you come to the vernissage of the exhibition this Thursday (February 13) at 19h, so you also get to see the performance of Catalin Jugravu. But if you miss it the opening, the photographs will still be on display at Projektraum 145 until February 23rd.
