Last Saturday I went to the Urban Affairs street art festival at the Friedrichshöfe brewery in Friedrichshain. It was a lot of fun to wander around in this industrial ruin and find a new piece of street art on every wall. You can see some photos on our flickr album.
There was another exhibition going on in the basement of the building that I also liked a lot. It is a group exhibition called Subterranean by Anton Unai, Keno and Nick Dewar and it is kind of scary, I can promise you that. It starts with a pitch black empty underground hall illuminated only by the flickering light of some TV sets playing scary videos that reminded me a bit of The Ring. In another equally haunting room you find walls plastered with disturbing collages and drawings and impressively detailed sculptures made of old toys dripping out of the old rusty vats of the former brewery.
