Tonight sees the opening of the most exciting exhibition of the new year in the most cutting-edge nightlife and art space Berlin has to offer right now. On 17 January, the multi-dimensional installation and exhibition QT UR EA by Mary-Audrey Ramirez and LUKAS8K curated by Madalina Stanescu will celebrate its opening at TRAUMABARUNDKINO. The work incorporates dance, performance, installation, sound and real-time virtual worlds and features collaborators such as choreographer Ali Heffetz and audiovisual artists bod [包家巷], Alza54 and Simon Goff.
The opening starts on 17 January at 9:00 p.m. with a 3 hour-long opening performance, which slowly increases in intensity and combines installation, motion-capture, and real-time virtual worlds, as well as dance, sound, and permaculture. Eight performers will meet each other, engage in spontaneous ceremonies or stage fight-like scenes.
During this night and through the eight weeks of the exhibition, TRAUMABARUNDKINO will be transferred in a science fiction narrative derived from the virtual arenas of open video games. The work will continue to expand and evolve over this period, so it’s worth it to check it out multiple times over the course of the show.
