If you feel tempted to always buy fashion at the same stores and are a little stuck in your day-to-day wardrobe the Fashion Council Germany and Bikini Berlin have your back providing you with updated and relevant fashion news just when you need it most. After their successful Pop-Up Shop at Bikini Berlin in June, they are bringing on another pop-up event in order to foster designer talents and offer them a platform to showcase their latest designs and present their labels. Hosted once more at Bikini Berlin’s rooftop terrace this week from Wednesday to Sunday, featuring cool drinks and interesting talks with the designers themselves.

In case you haven’t heard of the Fashion Council Germany yet: It was founded in 2015 in Berlin and is an advocacy group for German fashion with the aim of improving the international visibility of German fashion and designers. Moreover, than just being about fashion, it is the contact point for politics, media, culture, and industry. Staying true to their motto ‘explore the unusual’, the event focuses mostly on contemporary and sustainable fashion designers. Visitors can look forward to collections of eco-fashion labels such as Jan ‘n June and Bav Tailor, menswear brands such as A3B Clothing and Fomme, as well as the minimalist brand Frisur. In addition, bag labels such as PB 0110 and Ucon Acrobatics will also be present to showcase their collection. Are you ready to try something new?

To get an impression of what kind of fashion awaits you in this exciting Pop-Up Shop we want to present you some of the labels that will participate.

Jan’ n June

The fashion label from Hamburg was founded in 2014 by two young ladies who decided to combine their love for black minimalist elegant clothing and eco-fashion. They created Jan’n June sporting a modern and young collection that supports slow fashion while looking nothing like its reputation. They design clear-cut, elegant clothing for ladies, that are on the mission to change the old-fashioned view on sustainable fashion labels.

Bav Tailor

Designer Bav Tailor from London had the idea to reconstruct old techniques of tailoring with innovative cuts, eco-sustainable materials, and technology. All true to the label’s motto “respect your body + respect your sphere” the designs are made of the finest certified natural fabrics. With her sharp and geometrical cuts and sustainable philosophy, she wishes to further inspire an ethically aware generation. We love it!

Fomme

With Fomme young fashion designer Sarah Effenberger created a unique menswear brand, that plays with gender expectations. Her aim is to create a new interpretation of contemporary menswear. She achieves that by blurring the lines between what is considered traditional men’s and women’s fashion and combines elements of both. Her unique choice of luxurious fabrics and sensual cuts underline the brand’s unconventional and innovative touch.

PB 0110

I bet you fashion-savvy people all know the famous bag label BREE? Designer Phillip Bree decided in 2012 that he wanted to leave the family business and start a bag label of his own. So he founded PB 0110 where he focuses on fine bags of natural leather and linen. The idea behind his label is the love and companionship you develop over time towards your favorite bag which essentially is what gives soul to the things we love and wear. His leather bags are meant to be worn, loved and melt into your style by winning you over with simplicity, heart and leather quality that lasts you many many years.

Chances are high that you have seen the stylish bags of Ucon Acrobatics countless times within the realms of Berlin City. The label that was founded in 2001 has become a hipster sensation that is just growing bigger and bigger. A team of talented designers and artists joined forces to stay up to date with Berlin’s fashion trends and translate them into collections. The affordable backpacks are made for unpretentious travel and city life, focusing on minimalism, innovation, and functionality. Yes, I am guilty of carrying one myself – proudly, I must add.
