We are turning a milestone with this 3-year anniversary on November 9th, as this baby is growing too fast to keep-up with. This event is going to be particularly emotional and super-special as it is our last regular party at ÆDEN.
Fear not, it’s only the end of an era and the beginnings of a whole new Lunchbox Candy which will be revealed in due course. Watch this space.
With that in mind we are taking over both ÆDEN and ÆVE and we are bringing together all our resident DJs, performers, musicians, hosts and crew who have been there with us from the start, tirelessly working to help bring Lunchbox Candy to life.
We are also welcoming our sister collective KWIA who will be curating and hosting our new ambient / downtempo dancefloor expansion in ÆVE, the COTTON CANDY.
Our mission? To provide a safe space and launch this vessel of deranged inner child love-play-joy, for our colourful community of queers and beyond, celebrating authenticity, radical self-expression, diversity, unity and equality in the very few places in the world that still exist where this is possible. The dancefloor.
It has been a tremendous labour of love for everyone involved and we are so deeply grateful and humbled by the love, initiative, creativity and sense of community we are all part of.
We started bang in the middle of the pandemic, in September 2021, with pure intentions and big dreams in our hearts. The early beginnings were shambolic and chaotic as f**k wondering if anyone would turn up (we still do!).
Berlin was and still is in grave need of positive energy, queer safe spaces with intention, healing, humour and light-heartedness while still being political and offering a platform for marginalised communities to be seen and celebrated.
Lunchbox Candy is giving all of us the opportunity to joyfully let loose, explore and stretch ourselves, find each other, connect and celebrate life to help us find hope and inspiration in a world which is turning dark and dystopian on alarming rates.
So we are cordially inviting you to join us on November 9th to celebrate being alive, stand in our power united giving a nod to our past and projecting our dreams, hopes and intentions to a brighter future.
