The xcuseu collective is back with the 2nd part of their event series “8-TO-THE-FLOOR” on the 24th of June. Join them for an open air daytime event at Alte Münze!
To explore the origins of club culture, they curated an interactive event with different formats for you to indulge in. They’ll be kicking the day off with a guided walking tour through Schöneberg and will learn about flinta* pioneers of Berlin’s underground culture. At the same time, Dream will host a Ballroom and Runway 101 workshop. This is a beginner-friendly workshop full of fun and knowledge, where Dream will explore the history of ballroom culture and the artform of Runway with you.
They also invited Afrodesiac from Asacollect and DJ and producer Caesarr to give you insights into the roots of Techno music with the interactive lecture “B(l)ack To Techno”.
Lean back and eat Berlin’s best Pizza Moneta while watching “Sisters with Transistors” – an untold story about electronic music’s female pioneers.
In the evening enjoy a sundowner session curated by Asacollect , with multi-genre sounds drawing from Black, African, and Diasporan communities.
