In collaboration with mixed media artist Tim Novikov, the Berlin-based 18-piece Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra presents a multidimensional, organic live experience that combines light and sound.
“We’re approaching a type of perception in which there is no distance between the audience, the musicians and the artwork. The space does not only surround us – it’s something happening.”
Musically, AMEO focuses more on ambiance and atmosphere, creating malleable, shape-shifting sonic realms, aiming to amalgamate acoustic and electronic elements.
“We can juxtapose the orchestra-organism’s subtleties, colors and its warm sound with the pulse of Berghain, or we can turn both into something entirely new.”
Responsible for the visual aspects of the Berghain show, frequent collaborator Tim Novikov (Minus Null Studio, Berlin) is going to add spatial elements (interactive light installations), kinetic sculptures, and live visuals.
