XPOSED once again provides space for documentary works and celebrates a German premiere this year with Avant-Drag! by Fil Ieropoulos.
The film offers an exciting glimpse into the lives of ten Athenian drag performers who deconstruct gender, nationalism, belonging, or identity while confronting police brutality, transphobia, and racism. Entertaining and thought-provoking, societal norms are challenged, and the perception of LGBTQ+ culture is reshaped by capturing the intimate lives of a closely knit group.
After the premiere, the film team invites to the official afterparty at Torte Bar (Brusendorfer Str. 12, 12055 Berlin), featuring performances by Sergay Parakatyanov, Parakatyanova, Lala Kolopi, and McMorait. The event will also include DJ sets from the emerging crème de la crème of Berlin’s queer music scene (Mobutai, Caro Vola, Dela Nesto , Hassandra). Tickets for the screening can be purchased here.
