Don’t miss the release of the calendar “2023”!
In the context of the exhibition MANIFESTiert Euch! (Queer) Feminist Manifestos since the Suffragettes Künstlerhaus Bethanien presents the collaborative work of choreographer and performance artist Florentina Holzinger and photographer Ashkan Sahihi.
Sahihi accompanied Holzinger and her ensemble during rehearsals, on stage and backstage. The resulting works are now published in the format of a calendar in a limited and hand-signed edition of 400 copies.
The work plays with the motif of the classic wall or pin-up calendar, but shows self-determined female bodies between strength and vulnerability, beyond traditional gender roles and beyond the usual calendar. The calendar will be presented by curator Valeria Schulte-Fischedick in the presence of the two artists and can be purchased on site.
