Christine and the Queens has made many pop cultural marks in recent years that are second to none. The non-binary French singer, songwriter and dancer recently reinvented himself under the moniker Redcar and released a fascinating album “Redcar Les Adorables Étoiles”, which incidentally was the music of a show of the same name, in which Christine and the Queens or Redcar brought to the stage a mixture of dance, concert and musical experience.
Now Christine and the Queens has announced a new record under the old name: “PARANOÏA, ANGELS, TRUE LOVE” that will be released in June. Right now, the single “To be honest” is already circulating as a foretaste. Both projects belong closely together, says Chris himself: “Taking inspiration from the glorious dramaturgy of Tony Kushner’s iconic play, Angels in America, Redcar felt colourful and absurd like Prior sent to his insane dream-space. The follow-up PARANOÏA, ANGELS, TRUE LOVE is a key towards heart-opening transformation, a prayer towards the self – the one that breathes through all the loves it is made of. A resting in true love.”
We are very pleased that this exceptional artist with his special performance and presence will stop for one evening at Verti Music Hall in Berlin this year on the “PARANOÏA, ANGELS, TRUE LOVE” tour.
