On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Telekom Electronic Beats (TEB) and 032c, 032c Workshop
will host a site-specific work by artist and designer Harry Nuriev, on view for one week. Titled “All is
sound. All is Transformation.”, the installation explores the transformative power of music as a
medium of change.
At the center of Nuriev’s work is a silver-toned structure featuring rows of CDs—a now nearly obsolete
storage medium—arranged in sequence. Viewed from the outside, the piece evokes the aesthetics of
a 1990s CD store, the kind of place where people once discovered new music. The installation
reflects on the physical materiality of music formats and their evolution in the digital age. A CD player
is integrated into the structure, as are speakers repurposed from a car. At once, the piece oscillates
between archive, club culture, and social sculpture.
“I’m interested in organized chaos. Through the accumulation and rearrangement of objects, the
singular nature of things becomes visible—along with the space in between,” says Harry Nuriev about
his working process.
This presentation forms part of a larger collaboration between TEB and 032c. To mark the beginning
of TEB’s anniversary year, a limited capsule collection was unveiled at Paris Fashion Week under the
same title. Designed by 032c Creative Director Maria Koch, the collection draws on visual and
thematic elements from No Good (Start the Dance)—the 1994 rave hit by The Prodigy. At its core is a
scene in which the protagonist breaks through a wall with a hammer—an image of transformation,
departure, and empowerment that also resonates visually in Nuriev’s installation. Maria Koch adds: “I
was a classic rave kid, out every weekend. The beats of No Good by The Prodigy and its
black-and-white video inspired this collection. It’s a lifelong love affair with that song.”
The collection “All is sound. All is Transformation.” celebrates craftsmanship and includes
hand-painted pieces such as caps, bags, and T-shirts. Finished in chalky white on black cotton, the
garments feature details that reference vinyl and analog culture. With removable Velcro patches and
adjustable straps, they emphasize adaptability and change—recurring themes in Nuriev’s spatial work
and the history of TEB.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own CDs, which can be played on-site to create a shared
emotional experience.
Harry Nuriev (b. 1984) lives and works in Paris and New York. He is the founder and creative director
of Crosby Studios, an international design studio for architecture and interiors. His artistic practice
merges conceptual design with site-specific installation, operating at the intersection of fashion, art,
and architecture.
032c, the Berlin-based media and fashion company, was founded in 2001 and has evolved from a
magazine into a globally recognized brand at the crossroads of media, fashion, and culture.
“All is Sound. All is Transformation.” symbolizes the idea that continuous transition is the central
constant of cultural life,” said Ralf Lülsdorf, Head of International Music Marketing at Deutsche
Telekom and founder of Electronic Beats. For 25 years, this award-winning music and culture program
has shaped the intersections of electronic music, journalism, fashion, and technology. TEB has
collaborated with major artists like Billie Eilish, FKA twigs, Charli XCX, and Grace Jones, while also
supporting grassroots efforts and local scenes. As a Europe-wide initiative, TEB forms a deep
symbiosis with music, design, art, fashion, and new technologies.
