Simple, but complex and all-encompassing, as is life itself – this is Serge Aimé Coulibaly’s new work. In the wake of the difficulties of the last three years, he views C la vie as a point of departure towards a new vitality, and an impulse to take matters into one’s own hands again and celebrate the joys of existence. This production for seven dancers, voice and percussion, was inspired by the desire to replace a passive existence with action. Coulibaly calls for a collective and joyful investigation of what it is that makes life worth living.
