Hotflush returns to Berlin for the first time since 2019 with a stacked lineup featuring a blend of label stalwarts and fresh talent.
Closet Yi is a future star emerging from the South Korean underground scene. The Seoul-based producer made inroads this year with an acclaimed release on Curving Track and remixes for DJ Seinfeld and Anfisa Letyago, before touching down with a 5-track EP on Hotflush in June.
This is her debut appearance in Berlin. UK Funky legend Roska and Skull Disco founder Appleblim are names well known to followers of the UK scene at the intersection of bass, house, and techno. At this event they will play back to back for the first time. Anna Kost is a Berlin-based production prodigy who released on Soma and Warok Music before unleashing a duo of EPs on Hotflush sister label Who Whom in 2022.
Her next release lands on Hotflush this autumn. Label-head Scuba has reinvigorated his sound in 2022 with faster tempos and extra bass with collaborations on Hotflush with Roska (under his Bakongo alias), a much-played remix for Munich duo Glaskin, and new original material hinting at a fresh take on the link between classic hardcore, techno, and UK bass.
