»In C« will be back at radialsystem this December – for the first time with live music!
This time our dancers will be accompanied by the New York formation »Bang on a Can All-Stars«, who will play Terry Riley’s legendary piece »In C« live. For the first time dancers and musicians will be on stage together – we are very happy to close the year 2021 with this special premiere.
The »Bang on a Can All-Stars« are known worldwide for their highly dynamic live performances and recordings of innovative music. The six-member ensemble crosses the boundaries between classical, jazz, rock, world music and experimental music.
Following the performance on December 11th, they will bring classics from their repertoire to Berlin in a concert at radialsystem: The program includes works by Michael Gordon, David Lang, Julia Wolfe, Meredith Monk, Steve Martland and the premiere of a new piece by Berlin-based American composer Nick Dunston.
