Italian Christmas in Berlin: The second edition of the market that celebrates the Italian Christmas joy!
There will be more than a dozen stalls selling Italian food and crafts. Outdoors, in the Badeschiff, there will be a culinary section: roasted chestnuts, torrone, panettone, lasagna, arrosticini, olive all’ascolana, tiramisù, cannoli, pizza, arancini, pasta, salumi and many other Christmas specialties prepared by Berlin’s best Italian restaurateurs. Inside, in the Glass House, will be presented instead many ideas (illustrations, jewelry, soaps, bags, books, clothes, etc.) for Christmas gifts made or carefully selected by Italians* who live in Berlin or have come to the German capital especially for the event. There will also be a special area for children. But that’s not all. The Italian Christmas Market will also feature a special exhibition of paintings and sculptures by Sardinian artist Fulvio Pinna, the only Italian to have left his artistic mark on the East Side Gallery with the mural “Ode to Joy.”
But Christmas also means solidarity, and therefore the stands of the associations Emergency and Mediterranea will not be missing. To liven up and warm up the atmosphere there will be DJ sets and drinks inseparable from the Italian Christmas: Mulled Wine, Glühmoncello di Capri (with Limoncello Di Capri), Italian Caffè (with Sambuca Molinari) and Monte Caldo (with Amaro Montenegro). There will also be a contest for the best Christmas sweater at a Christmas-themed photobooth station.
Admission fee: 4€/free for children up to 12 years
