Kudur, is a music and performance-focused event series organized by the trans/queer PoC members of our collective. Our aim is to create a space where individuals can come together to connect through music and dance. Our events turns into a queer melting pot that celebrates diverse musical tastes.
As a collective, Kudur emerged from a shared love for Turkish pop and an appreciation for Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean musical cultures. Our events draw inspiration from the idea of transcending boundaries between genres, borders, and generations, highlighting the intersections of music, culture, and politics. Our mission is to create an inclusive space for expression and a healing environment. Central to our priorities is making space for the community and preserving a musical archive of our diverse backgrounds and roots. With this purpose, we also make a monthly radio show at Refuge Worldwide and have listening events at After.
