Thanks to the United We Stream initiative we had the chance to follow live streams from DJ sets from around Berlin’s club scene. But after having seen so many DJs bopping around behind the decks in an empty club, it’s about time we get to see something different. In comes the KDV Dance Ensemble. The new group has just recently had its debut performance at Funkhaus and one of their ensemble members, Annalise Van Even, published a little isolation dance that we featured in our recent round-up of quarantine dance videos. Now they’ve teamed up with the iconic Boilerroom for a special live show that will accompany the DJ set from Floating Points.
The live stream will happen through Zoom and bring in several of the dancers on a multi-screen conference streaming from wherever they are currently in quarantine. The Zoom meeting ID will be announced shortly over here.
The stream starts at 18h Berlin time and goes on until 20h. (The times on the flyer are British times which is one hour earlier.) Here’s a little trailer to give you a preview.
