MARICAS is a FLINTA* run and done party that collides an activist focus in creating safe spaces with a very distinctive old-school rave sound. It was created in 2018 in Barcelona by three queer womxns, two of them latinas: Eloisa Blitzer, Gina Guasch and ISAbella due to several discussions about the lack of a night-out in Barcelona that combined electronic music and the queer scene. MARICAS has evolved from a night, to a visual aesthetic referent, a music label “MARICAS Records” and most important a collective. They had showcases in over 25 cities in Europe, participated / run a night in Whole Festival, several Boiler Rooms, De School, Body Movements, Primavera Sound, and host over 15 parties a year in all the most important cities in Europe, had a two year residency in Crack Magazine, EOS Radio and Rinse FM.
