Fitzroy presents a magical double headliner, winter event of two hardened performers Marshall Vincent and Pictorial Candi.
Inspired by his time living in Berlin, New York, and Chicago, weaves together a soulful blend of orchestral, electronic, pop and folk elements to tell stories of life and love in vivid colour.
Sonically, Marshall’s music can be defined as intimate R&B, but there are threads of classical, folk, and electronic present, and all woven together with the aim of honest, universal storytelling. More important than genre is the pursuit of clarity and meaning, and as such, the references found within Marshall’s work are abundant.
Candelaria Saenz Valiente aka Pictorial Candi is an Argentinian multidisciplinary artist (songwriter, producer, writer and videographer) living in Berlin. A once math punk rocker turned lo-fi/DIY songwriter turned dream pop troubadour, P. Candi is always holding onto prog and krautrock, even under all the rich synthy scapes.
Pictorial Candi has written and produced four LP albums. Her latest album “Secret Salts” (Mansions & Millions and Nicey Music) drips with isolation Through cresting synths and bare drum sequences singer Candelaria Saenz Valiente embodies sadness as though falling apart, no yearning or desperation. Loneliness doesn’t even do it justice. Emptiness. Fragility. Stepping up to the plate regardless.
