Striptease is part of the sex industry. Sex workers are professional service providers and entertainers who shape Berlin’s culture and nightlife. They are talented narrators of their own stories, resisting the stigmatization of their lives and work in a variety of ways. This piece breaks with stereotypical narratives about their industry. Sex workers produced, wrote and performed it. It shows our skills, from storytelling to the art of facing any situation with pragmatism, humor and survival.
The Berlin Strippers Collective is committed to the destigmatization and decriminalization of sex work and striptease – it is a creative and political collective born out of solidarity with each other, bringing hot striptease with a political twist to the stage.
