MULTITUDES is a diverse cultural summer programme in and around Schloss Biesdorf.
We look from a queer perspective at the lovingly named “castle” late classicist villa, today gallery of the district Marzahn-Hellersdorf, and its park and enrich for a weekend the exhibitions and art projects taking place there.
We place this idyllic place in the context of queer life experience and reality.
The many queer projects of Schloss Biesdorf of the last years find a continuation in MULTITUDES and make it alive and experienceable in a new way.
The east terrace of the castle becomes a place of encounter and serves as a starting point for a wide variety of activities – visiting the three current exhibitions “Hidden Layers”, “Residenzpflicht I-X” and “Kunstvermittlung im Schloss Biesdorf”, exploring the park and of course our queer programme.
We are looking forward to a weekend full of exuberant queer joy, moments of gentle security and respectful togetherness and confidently counter the often enough experienced social marginalisation and discrimination with the emancipatory energy of diversity – in performances, readings, workshops, DJ sets and a karaoke party.
