In the performance “My Only Memory,” by artist and choreographer Juan Dominguez, the audience experiences a choreographed text by listening to a voice without seeing who is speaking: Sometimes the voice is female, sometimes male, partly in the singular, partly in the plural, it speaks to itself, challenges itself, responds… thus the voice becomes the physical body and the spoken text becomes movement and action of the performance, creating a contemporary and poetically imagined landscape.
