The famous humor blog Notes of Berlin has been turned into a movie and Mobile Kino is giving you the preview before its theatrical release in September!
A day and a night in Berlin: Karma drives an electric wheelchair, a flatshare casting ends up with a squatting, a cook and a stray dog become kings, everyone is looking for an expectant father and a rabbit makes a nerd finally get to know his neighbors. Do Berlin taxis actually drive all the way to the Eiffel Tower? And who is the Queen of Berlin? All these stories and more are told by NOTES OF BERLIN, inspired by real notes and notices found by attentive Berliners on lampposts, in stairwells, or in backyards and then published on Joab Nist’s cult blog
notesofberlin.com. The film strolls with us through the city and takes an amused, sensitive look at people and situations that might otherwise be overlooked. It is a declaration of love for Berlin, shows the everyday madness and chance encounters, and makes the city the protagonist, because: “The heart of the city beats in the street”.
The movie is in German and English with English subtitles.
