In February 2023, the Komische Oper Berlin will give the starting signal for Schall&Rausch – the new, annual festival for brand-new music theater. On the site of the former Kindl brewery in Berlin-Neukölln, Schall&Rausch invites you to celebrate burning issues and experimental music with pop-cultural glitz and glamour. Unafraid of melodies, beats and strobes, the Komische Oper Berlin brings the music theater to glow for ten days: Performance meets concert, professionals meet amateurs, local meets international.

… Gig Theatre Albertine Sarges: “For AntiqueRose_91”
The Berlin pop musician and former Musicboard scholarship holder Albertine Sarges rocks the stage at the SchwuZ Queer Club and gets up close and personal with the audience. To this end, she playfully combines her musical references – always somewhere between post-punk and dream-pop – on a lyrical level with social discourses such as feminism, the critique of gender roles and mental health.
With “For AntiqueRose_91” Albertine Sarges and her band invite the audience to a special evening inspired by a real-life perfume review that focuses on two famous perfumes from the 90s: Amarige by Givenchy and L’eau D’issey by Issey Miyake. An evening marked by Albertine’s quirky sense of humor, while also having a very sensual feel. “A Whiff of Albertine” in fact.
