Sentient Society is a queer collective that produces cultural events aiming to showcase art and performances in a conscious manner.
The event will invite you to explore the most rewarding task an individual can ever embark on; the journey to find one’s Self. They intend to create reflective artistic experiences that allow the audience to enter their inner world and leave with the feeling that they learnt something about themselves.
They want to challenge isolation and accompany the members of the community on their journey toward self-realisation by offering awakening performances and visual experiences.
They believe our approach to curating art and telling stories that can inspire others to find their unique individual purpose and succeed in their pursuit of wellness.
Virtual existence, social media, and digital notoriety changed our relationship with ourselves and our image.
It is by confronting the gaze of the Other that we create a concept of who we are. But what happens when the reflected image comes to life and takes over our reality?
Contrary to the pre-established idea, someone who does not need the mirror and the reflection of the Other would be narcissistic. Narcissus is not, since he confronted the mirror and therefore succeeded in this initiatory journey.
This new Sentient Society will plunge you into the magical worlds of 14 Berlin artists and performers where illusion, disillusion, and reality intertwine.
Between mirrors, parallel worlds, and reality, we tell you stories that will question the ‘real world and show us how to stay connected and celebrate our singularity in a world of reflections.
