In Brazil we say we are à flor da pele (at the flower of the skin or inflorescent skin) when we find our emotions overcoming our reason, just like sweat involuntarily blossoms through the pores of the skin.
It is a moment of excitement, fear, anxiety and physical effort, a moment guided by our non-rational knowledge and deepest desires, our anger and our erotica.
