TIES underscores Berlin’s legacy as a refuge for artists and musicians, fostering dialogues on the challenges of solidarity and inclusivity. Our cross-cultural exchange aims to connect musicians and cultural activists, bridging diverse backgrounds. Berlin’s diasporas, come from various regions and cultures and carry unique histories and challenges. We use the word ‘solidarity’ a lot, but often we don’t know each other’s stories, and this needs to change. Together, we will work towards inclusivity, visibility, and the true essence of diversity, despite daily obstacles to being heard and accepted. With TIES, we want to strengthen our collective ability to build cultural bridges and promote solidarity in areas where gaps still exist.
