With To Kiss Against the Fire, Spyros Rennt presents his largest exhibition to date, spanning eight years of production and four photo books.
Taking place during Gallery Weekend Berlin, the show inaugurates Rosegarden, a new Berlin space—conceived by Frontrose.
Frontrose navigates the intersection of travel and culture, facilitating experiences that open doors to the undercurrents of cities and other places. Subscribers are invited into a world of rare possibilities: artist-led studio visits, intimate music performances, curated gallery tours, and starting from May 2025, Frontrose will run its own program at Rosegarden. Developed for Rosegarden’s 150m2 exhibition area, the show offers a broad overview of Rennt’s universe, suspended between everyday realism and dreamlike scenarios, showing the evolution of his practice.
Rennt investigates intimacy in its endless forms, revealing deep bonds and moments of vulnerability. Before his lens, his subjects seem to bare themselves naked—some metaphorically, others quite literally—shedding their defenses and showing themselves with a disarming, almost childlike sincerity.
