With his releases on Toy Tonics, Sicilian artist Sam Ruffillo evokes the sound of the Italian Riviera and the hippie days of Ibiza in the late 70s. His take on smooth Balearic disco echoes his Italian disco predecessors: without the use of samples, he jams in his studio with guest musicians on guitar, bass, percussion and vocals – Italianissimo! Chloé Caillet, who grew up in New York, Paris and the UK, now resides in Ibiza, representing a new generation on the Spanish party island as Circo Loco resident DJ and founding member of the queer party collective XTRA. Her debut single “Love Ain’t Over” became a hit in 2021 thanks to support from the likes of Gerd Janson, and she has curated music for the catwalk for Italian fashion house Miu Miu on several occasions. Along with London-based Guinny and the core team of Toy Tonics, Kapote and Stump Valley, Ruffillo and Caillet will be playing at Panorama Bar tonight.
