We’re back for another jaunt at Zur Klappe and we’re thrilled to have Nono Gigsta joining us.
Nono’s style falls in a sweet spot between eclecticism and coherence that is so hard to find. Her club sets run through rhythmical oddities, full-blooded bass explosions, kaleidoscopic shimmers, and hypnotic wormhole excursions, all mixed with precision and consideration by an artist who clearly possesses a deep appreciation for their craft.
Nono runs Fictions, a party at Neukölln sweatbox, Sameheads, where she invites friends for all night B2Bs, with previous guests such as AYA, Beneath, and Joe.
Nono also has a commendable approach to travel when touring which she calls ‘slow gigging’, opting to travel by train and ferry rather than the far more polluting plane. As a Berlin resident, Nono won’t have to travel far to join us at Zur Klappe. Get on your bike and come and treat yourself to a set from one of the city’s finest!
Providing very capable support will be a trio of our residents. Akiï will play the opening set; putting the sub through it’s paces for the first 2 hours, Marius Iris will be making his debut; digging deep into his love for all things dub influenced, whilst Lyndon Lewis will be closing the night out with an array of deep and murky selections.
The ethos of Trip the Light is based on creating a night with no frills, that is completely music-centric, focused on diversity, inclusivity and intimacy. Our music interests are broad and ever evolving but are rooted in UK soundsystem music.
