When Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24th, the thriving electronic scene changed overnight. Producers, DJs, club owners, staff, promoters and curators became soldiers, volunteers and refugees.
Dance floors turned into volunteer centres, medical training facilities, coordination headquarters and ammunition factories.
Ukraine: Nightlife in Resistance, will tell six unique stories of various industry figures from different parts of the country, uncovering the price they’ve paid for this life- changing transformation.
The screening will feature a live Q+A with the film’s protagonists, moderated by RA Editor Chloe Lula.
Entry is free and donations are optional. All money raised will be distributed between Insight NGO, and World Central Kitchen.
