On Is Bringing More Movement To Berlin

Advert.

Berlin is a city that is always in motion. But now that it’s Spring and it’s getting warmer, everyone is feeling the buzz and getting more active – just the right timing for the Movement Week Berlin – a sports program that was initiated by Swiss sportswear brand On in collaboration with Urban Sports Club.

The Movement Week Berlin is not just purely about sports, it’s about community, enabling access to sports, motivation, and experimentation. Its aim is to bring experienced athletes and sports enthusiasts together in one place with those of you that are curious and want to become more active. You don’t have to be advanced in any discipline to join in on the fun.

Movement Week Berlin

From May 2nd to May 5th, On and Urban Sports Club have put together a diverse program of classes in four different studios in Berlin-Mitte that range from dancing, boxing, boot camp and hiit workouts, strong barre, to yoga and pilates. The courses will be given by some of the best trainers in the city, so you can expect a really good insight into each sport. Also, the studios they selected are some of the most exquisite ones we have in Berlin – they are John & Jane’s Soulbase and Powerbase, Storm, and Atomix.

If you are curious about participating in the Movement Week Berlin, you better book your courses now as they are booked out quickly. At each of the locations, you will also get a closer look at On’s new Movement Lifestyle Collection of sportswear and shoes that extends On’s usual focus on running to lifestyle, training, and gym wear.

As community building is a big factor for On, each class will be followed by an after-workout gathering where Berlin’s beloved Daluma will serve healthy snacks and drinks. It’s going to be the perfect opportunity to recover, socialize and exchange.

Move like a Human

In support of their new lifestyle collection, On also created a really inspiring film choreographed by the iconic Sasha Waltz featuring the famous dancer Justin Peck. The film was shot at the hangar of the former Tempelhof Airport which is such a stunning location. Like no other place, the Tempelhof Park stands for movement and enjoyment, and the beautiful dance performance perfectly captures that special magic. We love everything interdisciplinary, bringing together two worlds through collaboration and creativity. The film really highlights that On is much more versatile than making the perfect running shoe. It certainly makes us want to move as well. Enjoy the film below.
