Day 2 of Berlin Fashion Week was all about fashion shows and presentations for us. The day started exciting with a little visit to the backstage area of the JULIAANDBEN show at the studio of the official Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week tent. The Berlin cult label had their first ever runway show with our Designer Scouts event at HBC back in 2010. Now they made it into the official tent and delivered a great collection. Dandy Diary Fashion Porn Film Launch

So, the first day of Berlin Fashion Week was already pretty exciting. It started with the premiere of the Fashion Porn film of our fellow bloggers from Dandy Diary in a small sex shop and cinema in Kreuzberg. The location itself was quite the attraction with all these trashy sex toys and nasty porn. The film really surprised me with a clever concept and a well done execution. It’s sexy and the showcased fashion is really well selected. You can take a look for yourself here. It’s Fashion! It’s Madness! It’s Fashion Madness! You could also call it Berlin Fashion Week. What a treat! Of course for you this is only semi-interesting as the majority of events is only dedicated to fashion journalists, buyers, business people and those who interned in the right agency. Next week is Fashion Week here in Berlin, hurrah! For us it’s definately one of the most exciting times of the year, especially since we are doing five events of our own this time. But as you know most of the events during Berlin Fashion Week are not even public but only for fashion professionals (and those who manage to sneak themselves in). But there still are quite a lot of events and parties that everyone can go to and we want to give you a little guide of the best ones. On top of that you can win a few copies of the brand new fashion book Berlin Catwalks.

This week is all in the name of fashion with the Berlin Fashion Week going into its next fall/winter 2011/12 season. Once again the week is brimming with exciting events from showrooms, fashion shows, designer sales, exhibitions and parties there are countless opportunities to get your daily overdose of fashion.

We have selected our favorite events of the week that involve designers that we like to give you a practical little guide to navigate safely through the week and see the best of avant-garde and street fashion during the day and strut your style at the hottest parties at night. As usual a part of the events are for invited people only, so to get in after all you either get back in touch with your old friend who now interns at agency X or you put on your fanciest dress and most convincing attitude for the girls at the guestlist. Fashion Week Berlin - Bebelplatz

For this Fashion Week we managed to see much more than last time, although we haven’t even been here most of the time. On Friday we worked through a tight schedule including the trade shows Premium and Stark, and a fashion show by Smeilinener at Bebelplatz, before we left for the Melt! Festival in the evening. From the 4th-7th Octover the seventh edition of the Berlin Alternative Fashion Week is taking place and the diverse program of this crazy fashion event is full of live performances, installations, art exhibits and fashion shows starting Wendsday. 25 designers, artists, and musical acts will take the stage at Halle am Berghain, including returning favorites L•O•M, Tata, Christiane, TZUJI, and ZL by Zlism, as well as many new designers, like CHURCH OF THE HAND, DILIGENT, EZ by Elena Zemtsova, Marco Scaiano, and Wreckreation.You can get your tickets here. It’s time for another edition of the Berlin Alternative Fashion Week – some exciting days are awaiting us! A week with lots of cool parties and catwalks which are very special and totally different from the regular Fashion Week. Young designers get the chance to present their fashion and there is no limit to creativity – on the contrary, the more outrageous and crazy the designs are, the more the viewers heart will be delighted. This week music, art and fashion merge into an alternative concept – it’s about freedom, gender roles and a new identity. Many designers offer innovative, sustainable work – and that’s a great opportunity for the young participants to be encouraged in their work and to still be able to remain free in their development and creativity.

The Berlin Alternative Fashion Week takes place for the third time in Berlin – starting on the 23rd and ending on September 27, 2015. The presentations will take place at the Postbahnhof, the opening party is at Maze and together with Apollo.tv there will be a presentation of short films and documentaries on Sunday.

Last Saturday the Berlin Alternative Fashion Week took its second spin. The focus of this fashion event outside the regular international fashion week schedule is on fashion that break the restrictions of wearability. This weekend the Berlin Alternative Fashion Week is happening for the second time and proving once more that fashion can be fun, eccentric and crazy. The first edition back in October 2014 was a total blast and took us by surprise with really amazing and entertaining shows. It’s great we finally have a platform in Berlin, that supports young and unconventional fashion that focusses on artistic and creative expression and not so much on commercial success. We loved the designers and their playful concepts to present their collections on the runway and we can’t wait to see the new shows. This time the BAFW has a program of 4 days starting this Thursday with an opening party at TRUST bar, a screening of Apollo.tv at the Nhow Hotel on Friday, a set of 3 runway shows between 14 and 23h at Postbahnhof on Saturday, and the Haute runway show at Nhow Hotel on Sunday. After the jump we have some previews of the partaking designers and a teaser video for you and we also give you the chance to win 2×2 VIP tickets for the entire festival that also includes entry for an exclusive party at Nhow Hotel.
