We decided to rethink the concept of a conventional bucket list and came up with scenarios that shamelessly embrace Berlin’s potential as the backdrop of some memorable experiences. And ‘’memorable’’ is actually somewhat of an understatement here – some of these shenanigans are simply unforgettable, even if some parties involved may indeed wish otherwise. While we are by no means condoning every single one of these actions, let alone encourage anyone to draw any kind of inspiration for real-life pranks, it would literally just be ‘’so Berlin’’ if you were ever to…

Darkness, silence, a locked-up room – no solution, no escape…
What sounds like a horror movie at first is the opposite of it and in fact really great fun. We’re talking about a more or less new trend that has arrived in Berlin a few years ago and is now becoming increasingly diverse. In so-called Live Escape Games you voluntarily let yourself and your friends or colleagues include in a complex of rooms and have to find a way out of the premises before the predetermined time runs out. The aim is to work together, to solve tricky puzzles and to pay enough attention to even the smallest details because they could lead you to the right solution. Each game includes a detailed story and there are many – you can take on the role of thieves and steal an exhibition object, escape from a bunker or convict a murderer.
After the jump you can get a glimpse of the game procedure.

Experiencing your surroundings, the world, a particular place is always a very personal experience.
A place, city or even room can be encountered and told differently, depending on who experienced it. Which is why it’s always interesting to see and hear how others perceived the world. How they felt about certain streets, stores or details.
Eaglewood Films recently came out with a nice short film featuring Berlin. The motion designer and visual effects editors published “Moments of Berlin”, a nice short film that features a little boy during his first adventures in the capital. From his first flight to Berlin, to his first kebab in the city – the clip shows his every step in an almost soothing manner. As a viewer, this special perspective of the capital is not only heartwarming but also eye-opening – to another point of view. See the clip right after the jump.

I’m going to Sleep. Not to bed – to the special performance happening this week at Kraftwerk. But yes, I probably will sleep there. There will be beds, after all.
Max Richer, the “perennially audacious British composer” as Pitchfork calls him, is staging a conceptual project here in Berlin, and I’m deeply curious. Doors to the concert hall open at 21h, the live music begins at midnight and lasts eight hours. In the morning, it’s time to go. Will it be a beautiful symphony of strings and sythesizers to savor throughout the night? Will it achieve its goal and put everyone into slumber? What will the energy feel like??
