Alice M. Huynh – FIVE

A couple of months ago I introduced you one of my absolute favorite young designer, Alice M. Huynh, with her stunning first collection The Wood. Today I once again feel to support her sensational work by presenting you her new Men’s collection for SS 2014 entitled FIVE. Inspired by a study of the common symptoms of schizophrenia, the young Munich-based designer combines unconventionality and elegance, with simple and plain creations, yet revealing the distinct essence and sophistication of every single piece. The designs are all individual, with unconventional cuts, exceptional applications and different fabrics, including wool, mesh and bicycle inner tubes. The collection consists of mainly handmade shirts, vests, long trousers, jackets and shorts, in the shades of black, light mint and white. To me, everything looks perfect and ready-to-wear, and it once again confirms the talent and creativity of German young designers. Enjoy the video and lookbook for the collection after the jump.
