Like A Second Nature – Ars Electronica in Berlin
Since 1979 the Ars Electronica from Linz, Austria, is exploring the link between art, technology and society with their highly experimental and world-wide renowned exhibitions. Their award – the Prix Ars Electronica – has honored many institutions such as Pixar Studios, Wikipedia and Wikileaks, long before they even became as popular as they are now.
For their latest exhibition titled Like A Second Nature they have teamed up once again with the VW Automobil Forum Unter den Linden in Berlin. In a group show featuring 14 international artists they explore what is artificial and natural in our everyday life and how we experience and differentiate between those two states. All of the artists have very different approaches to this theme. While some of them reflect on perception and self-perceptions, others use the observation of nature to recreate it, all of which have amazing results that can not only be viewed but also experienced. After the jump you will get a little preview of the exhibited pieces.
On Friday at 18:30h we will exclusively host the only guided tour with the curator of the exhibition. So if you want to get the best insights about the artwork you should join us and register for one (or two) of the 20 spots. Details about this after the jump.
