Today’s issue of the Cinéma de Mode is actually a quite clever combination of an interview and a fashion film. The Avant/Garde Diaries invited the fully tattoed model and muse Rick Genest over to Berlin to have a conversation with him about his life and work, at the same time a photoshoot with photographer Nadine Elfenbein took place that shows the excentric man in a couple of really great outfits. In the name of avant-garde could have been the motto of this past weekend. Mercedes-Benz invited top fashion designer Raf Simons to curate an event here in Berlin and THE AVANT/GARDE DIARIES – TRANSMISSION 1 is the result of it. In three days we experienced an exhibition, film screenings, concerts and a dance performance all selected by Simons himself. Of course the one or other party and drink was included in the program as well…
