A Review of Berlin’s Biggest Art Fair: The Berliner Liste

It was a whirlwind of art that came over us last week. The Berlin Art Week brought together the best and most promising artists and galleries in Berlin, mixed with plenty of parties and cocktails to flush down all the impressions into our creative conscience.

One of the most significant events that happened last week was the latest edition of the Berliner Liste that took place once again at the impressive Kraftwerk. It’s the biggest art fair we have in the city and as far as I remember it’s also the oldest one. They took full advantage of the huge space exhibiting the work from 112 galleries, collectives and artists from 25 countries on 5 continents.

Win Tickets for the Berliner Liste with Absolut

It’s Berlin Art Week and the city has never been more full of amazing art! It’s in fact so much art to take in that you will definitely need a drink in between. Luckily, the Absolut Art Bar will be at your service this week at the Berliner Liste that’s taking place at the stunning industrial cathedral of the Kraftwerk.
Last year this art program by Absolut already took place in Berlin twice and we had the pleasure to curate our very own hot pink Art Bar with Italian illustrator Nicola Napoli here at Blogfabrik as some of you might remember.

For the new edition the Swedish vodka brand invited local artist Clemens Behr to create the Art Bar for the Berliner Liste art fair. For his installation titled Noasis he will incorporate the concrete aesthetic of the Kraftwerk where the event takes place and break the harsh structures with tropical greenery. We are looking forward to see the final result in the coming days at the Berliner Liste. And of course also to taste the special cocktail by the same name that was created in collaboration with the artist.

The Weekly Event Guide

The Weekly Event Guide

Belin at Stroke

This is Berlin Art Week. I admit I dread those Berlin Something Weeks because that means a hell of a lot of events to go through for this guide and not enough time to go to all the things that sound interesting. But I think I’ve managed to sum up some interesting ones for you, though I will have to publish them in two stages starting with the ones earlier in the week. I would also like to refer you to some other art-related blogs and websites that will give you further insights and coverage: Castor & Pollux, Artfridge, ArtBerlin, Bpigs, Berlin Artparasites and artconnect Berlin. Have fun with all the art, but remember not to touch anything with your sticky fingers… The event guide – part 1 after the jump.
