Bloc Party – Octopus

After Kele’s little excursion into the land of solo artists he now got back together with his band Bloc Party to make another album. The new single Octopus just came out and it sounds just like the old Bloc Party. Oh, I almost forgot: Tomorrow Bloc Party front man Kele will have a show at Weekend with his brand new solo efforts. It’s way different then Bloc Party, it’s purely electronical. And the few songs I heard are pretty awesome. It’s like Kelis changed her style from R’n’B to dance only he does it without doing it cheasy and cheap. (David Guetta? Oh come on…) He will also be one of the acts of the fantastic line-up of this year’s MELT! Festival. Hurrah! You should definatly check out his hot new video after the jump.

The location is Gräfenhainichen, near Dessau. Surrounded by gigantic cranes you can dance in front of the various stages and on the dancefloors. The place is called Ferropolis – the city of steel – because of the huge industrial machines standing around in the former coal mine. The festival’s camping area is located next to Gremminer See from where you can see those huge coal cranes that are illuminated by coloured lights when it gets dark and take a bath if it’s too hot.
