But what makes an experience really unique and unforgettable? It’s not really as easy as it sounds. We thought a lot about this, because we wanted to create our own “priceless” event for you. As the season of cosy nights at home and lovely holiday dinners is approaching we decided that we wanted to do something related to amazing food. So we sat down with someone who really knows something about excellent food: our Blogfabrik colleague Sophia Hoffmann, who recently published her second amazing cookbook “Vegan Queens”. Together we developed a dinner event of a different kind. “Harvest Muse” turned out to much more than just a dinner party. For the delight of our guests Sophia created something that could almost be described as an altar of the fruits of Autumn – a beautiful food installation that was first admired and photographed and than later devoured by the attendants. In a short interview Sophia explains how the idea came up and what other advice she can give to our readers on how to host an unforgettable dinner.

In Berlin – not only the capital of Germany but also of freelancing – it’s actually really hard not to stumble upon some kind of coworking space in your daily life. There are so many options that it might seem a bit overwhelming at times. There’s the sofa at home (added bonus you can stay in your pjs), the sunny café around the corner and of course the membership working with like-minded people. Digital nomad, freelancer, self-employed – whatever you want to call it, chances are that you are looking for a place where you can work on your own, but socialize and synergize with like-minded people.
Depending on what exactly you are looking for it may be more about the space for you, or maybe more about the people. So while you have the choice, make sure you really find the spot that’s all you. Where you feel comfortable and get your stuff done at the same time. If you’re anything like me you may want to switch it up every now and then to get some variety into your week. On the weekend we finally celebrated the opening of our highly anticipated #berlin Instagram exhibition that we organized with our new friends from Post Collective. It was a total passion project for the both of us and I am super excited about the results of our efforts. For a long time now I have been showing my appreciation for the talents on Instagram on the blog and on our Facebook page. I wanted to find a way to honor the great work of these creative people even more and this exhibition was the perfect way to do it. Guys, this one is for you, you deserve it!
I want to thank my lovely team: Olga, Yasmin, Kate and Claudio for doing this with me, you’ve been great! I want to thank all the guys from Post Collective, it is a pleasure to work with you. Of course I want to thank all of the Instagramers that took part in this exhibition – let this be a start of a fruitful collaboration with us at iHeartBerlin and Blogfabrik. Hands up for the guys from Moody Collective giving our exhibition the right soundtrack! A big thank you also to the makers of Belsazar Vermouth, your cocktails at our opening reception were delicious! We love the Polaboy light boxes – thanks for those! High five to the team of Blogfabrik for letting me completely remodel our event space and occupy it for an entire week. And thank you to everyone who came this weekend, it was overwhelming, thanks so much for all your words of appreciation.

Working together with different people coming from different places and backgrounds is a wonderful present we enjoy every day at our office. Even more amazing is the chance to work with people with a good heart capable to move the world around just with their power of will. Some of our colleagues at Blogfabrik like Jule from im gegenteil were active volunteers during the refugee crisis that started this Summer. But as the situation got worse and worse we felt that we had a chance (and duty) to do something as a community.
This is why we connected our brainpower and creativity to create an interactive donation campaign called #HelpDontHate for all our social media channels. Showing our faces and and standing strong against hate towards refugees and foreigners we want to give a clear signal. We all realized that even the smallest helping gesture already changes so much so we want to empower more people to do so.
With the campagin #HelpDontHate not only the whole team of iHeartBerlin but all the people from the Blogfabrik network are showing their support to the people leaving countries in war for a better future. After weeks of preparations and anticipation it was finally time to reveal the Berlinferno on Saturday at Blogfabrik. Young Italian artist Nicola Napoli has created a huge artwork for the Absolut Art Bar series that is a tongue-in-cheek response to all the criticism Berlin has received lately and an interpretation of all the worries and fears that Berliners have about the changes of their city.
For this event we turned the Blogfabrik, our new co-working and event space at Kottbusser Tor, into a pink inferno full of eccentric fantastical creatures. It was so much fun to change up the place and re-use all the modular furniture, it was almost like a play-set for grown-ups. It was such a pleasure to work with Nicola who has such a creative mind and so much wit, and also with the guys from Absolut who proved yet again what a modern and progressive brand they are by letting us create a world around our idea and message. Thank you for making this such an enjoyable collaboration!
We were super happy about how everything came together in the end and how many of you showed up to the opening to have a drink with us. We also want to thank our super charming live act Heather Sparx who gave a great performance filled with her joyful synth pop tunes and lots of good energy and glitter, and of course to our DJ teams Rydim & Ricardo Esposito and Dada Disco who both played the most amazing music for us. Last Thursday it was finally time for a new project that we are part of to see the light of day. For the first time we invited people to see the new Blogfabrik space. The opening event was a huge success and so many came, more than we ever thought would. We are super proud and happy that the reactions were so positive and curious. It’s been really like a dream come true for us since we moved in back in May, but only now with the reactions of the people at the opening event we can finally realize and understand how amazing this project is.
I would like to thank the Blogfabrik godfather Holger Bingmann from the bottom of my heart for making this place a reality. It’s a huge undertaking and certainly not an easy one, but we are really grateful that someone has the faith in and enthusiasm for this project. I would also like to thank the Blogfabrik and Daily Bread Mag team Maria Ebbinghaus, Claudio Rimmele, Daniel Gruber and Danilo Sierra for rocking the house for us!

We’ve followed Italian illustrator and artist Nicola Napoli now already for quite a while, starting with his famous piece of the line in front of Berghain, over to the amazing garden of lust that was commissioned for the flyer of the monthly Berghain program, to his witty and fascinating portrayal of the iconic Kotti and of course his most recent interpretations of famous fashion designers.
Now for the first time we’ve collaborated with him for a brand new artwork and it’s going to be a quite ambitions one. He will present his new piece BERLINFERNO at the Absolut Art Bar that will take place on Saturday, August 1st 2015 at the brand new Blogfabrik (the crazy new blogger space that we share with many other content creators). Yesterday it finally happened: After months of secrecy and hard work from so many people involved we finally pressed the publish button on a new exciting project: The Blogfabrik. We’ve teased on this new place a few times but now we can finally share it with the world.
Together with a group of over 30 other digital content creators iHeartBerlin.de moved into this amazing new space that is funded by media distributor Trunk and located in the heart of Kreuzberg at Kottbusser Tor. On the one side Blogfabrik is mix of a co-working space and a multi-functional area that serves as a photo studio and an event space for workshops, exhibitions, screenings, dinners and anything else we might be cooking up there. On the other side Blogfabrik is meant as an expertise hub for content creators such as bloggers, photographers, filmmakers, etc. where we can get together, share ideas and knowledge and make projects together.
One of these projects is the new online magazine Daily Bread that we all have been working on for the past months. In this magazine we will all share our experience and insights of our lives as content creators. It will reflect the topics of all our individual blogs, magazines, Instagram and Twitter accounts, but it will also grant a look behind the scenes and give us the opportunity to talk about things such as business, innovation, and observation – all stuff that we would normally not talk about on our own sites.
