Those of you who follow me on Instagram have probably already noticed that I have once again fled Berlin to my second heart city Buenos Aires. I was actually only looking for sun and warmth, but what I found was actually even better: Buenos Aires Fashion Week, or as they like to call it: BAFWEEK. Of course I took the opportunity to check out some of the local designers with their shows and was pleasantly surprised about how well made the fashion week is here. Of all the shows I watched I chose my favorite ones and presented the first part on Two For Fashion and today the second here on iHeartBerlin. Enjoy my impressions after the jump!
I grew up in medium-sized town at the Baltic Sea. Even though I’ve spent the better part of my life there I never really attached my heart to this city. When I moved to Berlin 12 years ago I instantly knew: This is my home. I was completely alone in the beginning, didn’t know anyone. It took me a while to connect with the right people, but even before I did I felt like this city is the love of my life.
I never considered any other city to call my home in all those years. Not London, not Paris, not New York. But now after my trip to Buenos Aires back in February this has changed. This city has infected me. The diverse, multicultural and thriving Argentinian capital seems to be as much as a playground for ideas and dreams as Berlin has been for me in the past years. And now the question is: Will I betray the love of my life for the first time?
Tomorrow I’ll fly to Buenos Aires for the second time and continue my affair with the South American city. My brand new Eastpak backpack is going to come with me marking a second “first time” because it’s the first time I’m actually travelling with a proper backpack instead of shoulder bag. The current campaign of the authentic lifestyle brand couldn’t be more spot on for me at this time: It’s about the things that truely inspire us and that we really live for. In my case that would be the urban playground that is Berlin, and – potentially – Buenos Aires. The life in cities like these is all about transformation and metamorphosis, invention and reinvention, evolution and revolution. You can either move with it or give the direction yourself.

Hello guys! I’m back! After my week in Paris, a month in Buenos Aires and a long weekend in Istanbul I am now a Berliner again. And of course I’ve brought something back for you after such a long absense. Buenos Aires is one of the coolest, if not THE coolest city in South America. Some call it the New York of South America. I would rather compare it to Berlin actually. The city is exciting, charming and fun! There is loads of stuff to discover and of course many parties to go to. If you wonder how the party kids of Buenos Aires look like, you should definately head over the jump for a few party sets and club recommendations… Enjoy!
